More about me

About Me

Hi, I’m Sam – an award-holding Associate of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths (AWCB) and a proud award-winning competition blacksmith, having taken first place in the live competition at the North Somerset Show two years running.

With over 20 years of experience in metalwork, I bring a wealth of knowledge in both blacksmithing and fabrication, producing work to the highest standard. My skills cover a wide range of projects – from specialist tooling to decorative pieces for the home and garden – and I take pride in turning ideas into beautifully crafted, lasting creations.

My Craft & Passion

Blacksmithing isn’t just my profession – it’s my passion. I’m a keen competitor, regularly taking part in blacksmithing events across the country and helping to promote this incredible craft. Every project I take on is a chance to showcase the artistry, tradition, and precision that blacksmithing represents.

My Journey

  • 20 years ago, I began my career as a welder-fabricator, specializing in pipe welding and fabricating a wide variety of items.

  • 14 years ago, I discovered blacksmithing – and I’ve been dedicated to mastering it ever since.

  • I spent 6 years teaching welding and blacksmithing to the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), passing on my skills to the next generation.

  • Today, while I continue to work full-time in welding, my dream is to transition fully into blacksmithing.

When you commission a piece from me, you’re not only getting a unique, handcrafted item made to the highest standard – you’re also supporting my journey toward becoming a full-time blacksmith.
